Course Overview:

This education activity provides guidance on the rights and responsibilities of individuals with disabilities who are accompanied by service animals in health care facilities and the role of the health care facility in adhering to regulatory requirements. 

Objective

Course Outcome:

Care providers will identify their role in advocacy and service delivery to individuals with service animals in the professional practice environment.

2. Summarize Federal and Washington state service animal laws

3. Describe a place of public accommodation

4. Discuss the care provider's role in assisting individuals with service animals
